Regional Memorandum of Understanding “for the fight against counterfeiting and the danger of products, to protect fair competition and consumer safety and health”
On the November 27th of 2014, the regional Memorandum of Understanding “for the fight against counterfeiting and the danger of products, to protect fair competition and consumer safety and health”, the first example in Italy of this kind, was signed. Signatories were the Regional council member to the job Elena Donazzan, the then president of Unioncamere del Veneto Fernando Zillo and the prefect of Venice Domenico Cuttaia (on behalf of all the regional Prefectures).
For thematic areas of intervention have been proposed by the agreement: study, training and support for SMEs and security operators; controls, surveillance and coordinated supervision of the territory; information, communication, and education; protection of quality products. In its implementation phase the protocol will provide for the organization of activities according to the areas of intervention through the establishment of coordination tables, guided from time to time by a leader who will have the task of ensuring the direction of the initiatives and the monitoring of the activities.
